On 12 March 2018, FVSB’s parent company, MISC Berhad, held the naming and delivery ceremony of its new Floating, Storage & Offloading (FSO) facility for Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Limited (COTL), the FSO Benchamas 2. FSO Benchamas 2 has a storage capacity of 650,000 barrels with 12 years design life without dry-docking.
The projects marks our maiden foray into Thailand’s offshore oil and gas sector. FVSB’s scope of work covers pre-operations (Operations Readiness and Assurance), offshore marine operations and maintenance (O&M), systems maintenance, classification and regulatory compliance, technical and non-technical support.
The naming and delivery ceremony was held at Pasir Gudang, Johor and was graced by the presence of COTL’s President Mr. Pairoj Kaweeyanun, as well as management and representatives from COTL, MISC, FVSB and other honorable guests.
