The Marginal Marine Production Unit (MaMPU 1) was located approximately 200 km north-west offshore Bintulu, Sarawak at Block SK315, Anjung Kecil field. The field was operated by Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd.

MaMPU 1 was converted from an oil tanker, with a storage capacity of 318,000 barrels and was designed to produce 15,000 barrels of oil per day with 25 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas handling capacity. MaMPU 1 was spread moored and equipped with facilities to tandem moor offtake tankers. MaMPU 1 was equipped with the necessary accommodation and life support facilities for 36 persons.
