FPSO Ventures Sdn Bhd (FVSB) is now recognised as an OPITO Approved CMS Organisation as of 21st October 2022. This signifies another milestone in FVSB’s journey as Malaysia’s Premier Operations and Maintenance Service Provider for the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry.

OPITO recently conducted a series of comprehensive independent audits of FVSB’s competency system, recognizing it as one of the organizations in SEA with a recognized competency management system.

The CMS OPITO approval demonstrates FVSB’s commitment to upholding industry-developed standards and enables FVSB to promote the competence and expertise of our employees to current and prospective clients, as well as regulatory bodies. The CMS approval will include regular audits to ensure the FVSB’s organization-wide continual improvement in accordance with the FVSB’s Quality Management System.

FVSB believes that having an OPITO approved CMS in line with internationally recognised standards of best practice demonstrates the organization’s commitment to being a leading Operations and Maintenance Service Provider in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry.

FVSB intends to enhance the OPITO approved CMS in the future, in accordance with future business needs.

 

FSO PUTERI DULANG

Contributing to the recent success of OPITO CMS approval is the facility FSO Puteri Dulang, which is the first facility audited by OPITO.

FSO Puteri Dulang is located approximately 170 km from the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia at Dulang field. She was built for purpose as an FSO through her first owner until being handed over to MISC Berhad in early 2008. FVSB commenced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services in April 2008 after taking over its operations from PETRONAS Carigali, the Dulang field operator.

She is permanently moored to a Single Point Mooring (SPM) about one nautical mile from Dulang B fixed platform facility at a water depth of 76 m. She has 15 cargo tanks capable of storing at least 134,000 m3 of cargo and is equipped with facilities to tandem moor offtake tankers at her stern.

Her designed loading rate is 3,300 m3 per hour. The FSO is designed to accommodate shuttle tankers with a maximum size of 85,000 deadweight tonnes (DWT) alongside and 150,000 DWT in tandem. She is equipped with the necessary accommodation and life support facilities for 60 persons.
